Hyperpop goes pop punk - today Slayyyter officially shares 'Over This!', the newest single from her debut LP Troubled Paradise, out June 11th via FADER Label. Whereas previous singles highlighted her Y2K pop stylings, 'Over This!' demonstrates Slayyyter’s take on the guitar-driven, alt-rock genre. She enters the song heralded by a somber guitar, something akin to Linkin Park or 3 Days Grace - but instead of shredded strings as the chorus, it’s a wallop of bubblegum bass. A clever fusion of today’s pop and yesterday’s nu metal, 'Over This!' might be a kiss-off, yet it’s anything but a throwaway.
