THE HIVES LIVE AT THE FORUM 19/7/25
The Hives are the best live band in the world and they know it. There was no manufactured humility Saturday night as they made their triumphant return to Australia nearly a decade after their last visit. Australian punk rockers ‘Split System’ ran a blistering set of raucous tunes in support, capably engaging in short, fast, loud exposure therapy, preparing the crowd for the oncoming event.
LIVE REVIEW: SPACEY JANE @ HOWLER
The lights dimmed, and out came the four loves of my life: Ashton (and his majestic mane), Caleb, Kieran, and Peppa. The opening notes of Skin filled the room, and I was immediately overcome with gratitude.
LIVE REVIEW: THE RIONS @ THE PIER BANDROOM
The Rions’ Happiness in Places tour, celebrating their EP ‘Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be’, made its way to The Pier Bandroom in Frankston on Saturday night. With support acts Pisco Sour and Holly Hebe, the night was filled with love, sweat, and an overwhelming sense of youthful joy.
LIVE REVIEW: DROPKICK MURPHYS @ THE FORUM 17/11/24
Dropkick Murphys, probably your dad’s favourite band if you live in the inner city- is a Celtic Punk band that graced Melbourne last Sunday, coming all the way from Boston. Their sound is a beautiful concoction of traditional rock and Irish folk with a punk twist, which was a unique experience to see live.
LIVE REVIEW: LIME CORDIALE @ JOHN CAIN ARENA
As Sam from Ball Park Music said, there is no better way to spend your Tuesday night than to watch Lime at The Cain. I love Lime Cordiale, they always know how to put on a fantastic show.
